Description
This is the fourth generation of the Honda Integra but was brought to the US as the Acura RSX. The RSX came out as a 2002 model and was made until 2006. All RSXs came with a 2.0L K20 engine driving the front wheels. The engine featured i-VTEC which electronically adjusts valve lift, valve duration and valve timing, giving it a flatter torque curve.
This 2006 RSX Type S made 210hp instead of the standard 160hp. The 2005-2006 Type S has 10hp more than the 2004 and earlier models. The Type S also came with a 6-speed manual instead of the standard 5 speed as well as a sport tuned suspension, larger brakes and sway bars. That means that this is the fastest and most desirable of all the RSXs made. As an added bonus, they all also came with a 7 Speaker Bose Audio system featuring a subwoofer inside the spare tire.
This RSX is a rarity having no modifications and having relatively low miles. It is also in excellent condition and presents very well. It does have some wear and tear from its 17 years of driving. There is a dent on the passenger door, another small dent on the rear near the “RSX” badge as well as varius minor chips and scratches.
The seller purchased the RSX from CarMax in 2007 with roughly 8,700 miles on it. In his ownership, it has been kept in a garage and had oil changes every 5,000 miles. All regular maintainace has been done by the owner himself including but not limited to: air filters, brakes and fluids. He replaced one of the brake calibers in 2012 because it seized. All four tires were replaced in 2018.
